A Royal Engagement!

The all Nation is delighted with the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms Meghan Markle.

The couple announced their Royal Engagement few days ago - Monday 27th November 2017 - even though Prince Harry proposed early this month. The wedding will take place sometimes next Spring 2018.

In an interview Harry disclosed he knew Ms Markle was "the one" from the first moment they met, about 16 months ago, through some common friends in London. Since then, they have been inseparable.

Prince Harry designed the three-stone-ring which contains two diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection.

The couple travelled to Botswana - this past summer - for Ms. Markle’s 36th birthday and, during that occasion, they sourced the centre cushion cut diamond which appear to be 2.50 carat in weight.

The 3-stone-ring is set with two types of gold: the diamonds are set in 18k white gold and the shank is made of 18k yellow gold.

I love cushion cut diamonds, they are my favourite among the fancy shapes. A cushion cut diamond has that antique and old fashion flair which makes this shape attractive and beautiful.

A cushion cut diamond combines a square cut with rounded corners, giving the allusion of a pillow (hence the name cushion). This classic cut has been around for almost 200 years.

While generally less brilliant than round brilliant cut diamonds, cushion cut diamonds often have better fire which is part of their appeal. As one of the most popular diamond shapes a century ago, this diamond gives off a feeling of elegance, romance and clarity.

I believed that the shape in a diamond is the reflection of your personality and lifestyle! There is a diamond for every woman! Did you know that women who choose cushion cut diamonds consider themselves to be sentimental and romantic? Are you one of them?

I am sure we will see many more engagement rings with cushion cut diamonds from now on!

The ultimate revival due to a Royal Engagement!
