Conflict-Free Diamonds

Conflict-Free Diamonds are diamonds mined and produced under ethical human conditions. Profits from these diamonds are not used to fund conflicts and wars around the world. Peace in diamond production regions will bring about the potential for economic development and tax revenue as legitimate mining ventures increase.

The “Kimberly Process Certification Scheme” was introduced by the United Nation General Assembly in 2003 as a means of certifying the origin of rough diamonds from sources which are free of conflict.

For Monica, ethics are a very important element of her business therefore, MBC Diamonds only sources diamonds from suppliers that are complying with the December 2000 United Nations Resolutions on “Conflict-Free Diamonds.”
